Leaving for Shanghai on Friday, February 20, 2009

ABG and I (Team HuaHua) will begin our adventure this Friday. Excited does not even begin to describe what I am feeling. ABG will keep you up-dated every 3 days or so on our trip.  We will meet HuaHua on March 2nd.  More news to come...

    We're all SO EXCITED for you! She is a precious little dumpling...

    First question: how do you pronounce Huahua? Hway Hway? Hooah Hooah? Wawa?

    Just a couple of ideas for “blog fodder” if you’re interested:

    1. What do you have in your Diaper Bag?

    2. What kinds of toys are you getting? (Especially interesting because you are a “Pooh’s Corner” veteran!)

    3. What’s your travel itinerary? (even boring details will be exciting to those of us who have been waiting eagerly with you!)

    4. Have you documented all your efforts to get this little flower? I’m sure that every step of the eternal process that you’ve suffered through would be helpful for others who are interested in saving a precious little girl like you did!

    5. What size of clothes does she wear? (I have some REEEALLY cute girls hand-me-downs, and even a Patagonia fleece "onesie")

    6. What kinds of diapers are you going to use? (Silly question, but I'm sure your adoring fans will want to know!)

    We're so proud of you -- your journey is inspirational. Please let me know if there is ANYTHING we can do to help! My "Wee Beastie" will be babysitting age in 9 years. ;-)

    We are REALLY enjoying your pictures, and happy to know Hannah/Hua has such a pretty smile in between the tears. She is beautiful. But your menu sounds like chapters out of my nurse refresher book. Yiks. Hurry home. Darlene
